Is Danish man a danger or hero to trafficked women?

A man in Denmark has opened up his home to more than just trafficked women. The man, who identifies himself only as Christian, also faces constant criticism for his methods and his fatherly attitude.

"I get a lot of enemies in my work," he told CNN.

But Christian is undeterred and says we need to fight for everyone who doesn't have their freedom.

    I think it's a bit silly for people to call him a "danger". There is no one answer to stopping the disease of human trafficking; we're all just doing the best we can to ending this pandemic and I think "Christian" is right there along with us. Why do we have to be so critical? He himself admitted to making a mistake that time he bought the child back. He's learning, along with the rest of us, what to do and what NOT to do. There's a learning curve for anyone going into this. I say good for him for trying. Good for him for helping. It's more than a lot of people are doing. AND, what's wrong with being a father figure to them? Girls coming out of trafficking may face to serious man issues. If there's a good man out there who's willing to embrace them as a father rather than as a pimp or a john then that could be really healing.

    My conscience tells me to do the same thing that he's doing. My common sense tells something different – This is dangerous and a potential for being attacked by traffickers. He can be set-up. He is being dissuaded by groups supposedly fighting trafficking also. This guy is a hero and he should be protected from would be attackers and abusers.

Many girls in the profession of prostitution choose to do this on their own rather than work in legal jobs or other stress jobs with much lower income. Do they find pleasure and satisfaction in their work in drinking, geting high on drugs and liquor and having sex with different patrons or do they fake their pleasures of pleasing their customers. They put on put on their best performance to show customers the best time and try to please them in any way. Dont They get pleasure themselves from thes sexual acts. Lets hear from the victoms and their feelings

      There is a large difference between willing participants in prostitution and those who are "trafficked". The very definition of "trafficked" implies there is no choice. No one takes pleasure in being forced to do acts, much less lewd ones. I think you are curious to the feelings and thoughts of those who have made the decision to be involved in the sex trade. I'm sure to those who have been trafficked, these questions are incomprehensible.

    I truly believe this man has a gifted inborn golden heart..his true passion of helping those who are in slavery & emotionally traumatized women is a living proof to that..Let's support his good works to continue..Good and bad critics, you are welcome to say something..but just one sort of reminder , a quote in the bible.. "what you do to the least of your brother you do unto Me(Jesus)...ask yourself today instead of questioning someone who did the right thing..find.. The happiest person is the one who has a lot of contributions..not for himself but for others..This man I came to know by chance and he became like an angel to me..he is a sincere and honest..he just done things on his own..very private..but he made himself in public just now to speak up his mind againts detractors ..he is one in a million.Long live Mr. Mogens Pedersen...Lets tell the world and be one!

    Slavery still exists today. Human beings are bought and sold as property, and in many cases, are treated worse than you’d treat your livestock. Christian website has an article on the basics of slavery today and more. Read it. Educate yourself. Get involved in some small way, even if it means starting a conversation with a friend or family member. Read a book about modern slavery. Watch a movie about human trafficking. Make a donation to one of the organization . Find out if slavery exists in your community and be like the man above..such a hero comes along with a strength to carry on..I dope my hat on him..

      I agree, most of what you say.
      But being in this work you must understand, while the world are trying to fight this problem and trying to make new better laws to most of the world, there are some of us that meet the victims face to face. And feel that there is no other way, than to react, in the given situation. And have done for some time, even before this really was something the world even bothered to debate or talk about.
      I did what I had to do, and what I believed to be the right thing in the given situation.
      Maybe you will find it wrong and maybe, you want to judge all my work on this, alone, but in order to do that, and you must give me one, just one other choice, or way that you might think I, would have resolved this problem. I really didn’t have much other way to turn.
      Had I had another official way, and not just a lot of talk, I properly, would have used that. You see, everybody here heave an opinion about this issue, and everybody want to participate in the debit, but that doesn’t make them experts, as most of them never in real life ever met nor spoke to meet trafficked person in real life. We, that is me, and the voluntary workers in Christians Safe House, are not experts either, but we face the problems we encounter, in a direct way, as we meet the victims them self in persons.
      All I had in my mind, in this case, was a mother, forced to prostitute herself in the streets, as long as the traffickers was holding her child. And a small boy, that somewhere was craving for his mother, a child that didn’t understand anything of all this. And a child that most likely, also would end up as a slave.
      I had a small possibility to act, if I did it here and now. And I did what I did, given the circumstances. And I brought a mother and child together.
      Today whenever I see them together, whenever I meet them in their new lives, the mother with a small job, and educating herself, and the boy in his school of playing ball or whatever they now do, as other normal free humans are doing, I fell I did the right thing.
      So while the governments and everybody else are debating, and holding seminars and meetings, some of us that are meeting the victims, every day, just act, with best we can.
      Whatever history wants to make out of my small contribution in all this, really doesn’t matter so much to me. I know and I see the living proof, of my work every day, when I speak or meet some of the more than hundreds of woman, that I true the years, now passed, helped into to a live in freedom.
      It’s so easy to cast the first stone, at me, for being honest, and acting, on my own, when most of the worlds just want to debate and talk while setting on their hands, telling the whole world, that; we need do something to this problem!
      Me, in the meanwhile; I just follow what my hart are telling me, trying to do the right thing…..
      So go ahead and judge me if you want.
      The victims are all human being to me, and have right to live there live in personal freedom, dignity, and respect. No matter where they come from, no matter what God they, they believe in, and no matter what color their skin might have. We all have a right to live a life in personal freedom.

        Your ACTIONS are extremely impressive!! Thank you. Country by Country, day by day, person by person we will fight and slowly squash these traffickers...the general international public is becoming aware, laws are getting harsher and people fighting this epidemic are growing stronger and diversified everyday. In the meantime the victims that have been tortured deserve a safe place to heal and there are very few places out there....so thank you for opening your house and hopefully inspiring others who see this story to step up and help in their own way.     Shock conceals the pain of injuries at first. Desperation, anger and acceptance will follow. For now, you’re motivated only by fear and the will to stay alive.

    These are not symptoms brought on by an act of God but, instead, by the misdeeds of men. The victims described above were not swept away indiscriminately by a Tsunami’s wall of water; they were taken by traffickers that carefully calculate their value as slaves.
    I agree with Mr. Mogens Pedersen.....I pondered.......................
    In the end, there’s very little any of us can do to shield ourselves from natural disasters that strike whole populations without warning. Perhaps it’s this vulnerability that allows us to identify so deeply with the victims of such events.
    Human trafficking, though complex and difficult to understand, is a slow-moving, personal catastrophe that overcomes thousands each day. What’s encouraging is that we have the power to act and to end this brand of suffering
    Empathy is an ability that makes us more human; to practice it makes us most human. What a beautiful gift to recognize and share a feeling of fear or desperation with another person that lives in a hallow of darkness ..and then lead them to freedom with dignity.

    This man is a super hero! Persons complaining about him being fatherly are probably just left wing nut feminists... who hate women more than anything. Shame on them! If we had more real fatherly men in the world things would be a lot better for everyone. Not only is he fatherly but he is also a "real man" who doesn't worry so much about his own safety as he does of those around him. If that sounds fatherly or patriarchal then so be it. Just imagine if there were men like him on every block of every city of this world. Trafficking would not be possible if that were the case.
