Karaoke bars are a common front for child prostitution. As part of the documentary "Every Day in Cambodia", Oscar-winning actress and activist Mira Sorvino writes about what it was like going behind the scenes of this illicit trade.

    We adopted two girls from Cambodia in 2000 and 2001. Now are 13 and 14 years old. Americans can comment all they want about what these women do to their girls to survive. Unless you are part of the solution. You are part of the problem. .. I have helped my girls with a great life here. We continue to help families and the communities there.
