TV drama reveals modern slavery

A small yacht sails the Mediterranean Sea - but for the crew and passengers of the Blue Natalie. this is not a pleasure cruise. It is business: the women are the valuable "cargo" and the men transporting them are human traffickers. Kevin Flower reports on how an Israeli television drama has highlighted the issue of human trafficking by exploring the parallel lives of those involved.

Sex Trafficking/Slavery is used by many groups as a attempt to outlaw all prostitution around the world by saying that all women are victims even if they do it willing. This hurts any real victims because it labels all sex workers as victims.

This is done by the media, aid groups, NGO’s, feminists, politicians, and religious organizations that receive funds from the government. There are very strong groups who promote that all adult women who have sex are victims even if they are willing, enjoy it and go out of there way to get it. These groups try to get the public to believe that no adult women in their right mind would ever go into the sex business unless she was forced to do so, weather she knew it or not. They say that 100% of all sex workers are trafficking victims.

They do this in order to label all men as sex offenders and wipe out all consensual prostitution. Which is what their real goal is. There is almost no one who challenges or questions them about their false beliefs. Therefore, the only voices you hear are of these extreme groups. These groups want to label all men as terrible sex offenders for seeing a willing adult sex worker. No one stands up to say this is foolish, the passive public says nothing.

These groups even say that all men who marry foreign women are terrible sex predators who take advantage of these “helpless foreign women wives”.

These groups believe that two adults having consensual sex in private should be outlawed. Since they believe that it is impossible for a man to have sex with a woman without abusing the woman in the process.

And regarding this Israeli show: fortunately, most of it is ridiculous tales. People who know the truth – including the real girls – watch it and laugh. People who don't know... will probably never know. In the end, it's the show producers who "exploit" the issue by showing people what they want to see.

No girl in Eastern Europe is so naive as to be "tricked" into prostitution. These girls are savvy enough to know a pimp from a mile away. They know exactly the job they're getting into. In this context "Trafficking" just means the provision of transport for cross-border prostitution. It's only when they find out that pay isn't as good as they were promised and their working conditions fall short of their expectations that they start crying rape and slavery.

Cheers to all involved in producing "Blue Natalie". May those in Israel that purchase sex realize they might be abusing slaves/victims- both foreign women trapped in Israel and local Israeli women enslaved by drugs, crime, debts and poverty. To get more stats about the current Israeli problem visit: http://www.freedomfoundation.org.il, http://feministnewsletter-isha.blogspot.com, http://www.protectionproject.org. To address Christine – few organizations helping trafficked victims receive govt funding and have no motive to falsify stats.

I believe no country is in a better position to produce a film about human trafficking. Israel is probably the most involved in this business. The other thing they may wish to produce is about the illegal removal and trafficking of Human Organs.

Nowhere in the world are young girls sexualized like in the West. Padded bras for 9 y/o's? Baby girl beauty pageants? Girls indoctrinated by Filthy articles in teeny magazines under the guise of education?

      Hah, Hate-Media Troll spotted!
The only illegal 'organ trafficking' that happens in Israel are desperate ppl who are fooled by con-men or just decide to sell their own organs (and do it outside the country cause its -illegal-) for money, fools like u who really believe the IDF army kidnaps innocent palestinians and steal their organs are just laughable! (example : some dumb swedish reporter that looked for his 15 min of fame wrote lies about some palestinian being shot a few times, the israeli army took him to the hospital aftewards and removed his organs, I dont know about you, but no real doctor would ever take organs from someone who was just shot and might die/have infected wounds)

Well for the sake of truth – and I'm usually on the Israeli side – Israel did admit to have had this practice, after it was exposed by a former military doctors who now lives in US. It was long time ago and Israel didn't have laws against it at that time. Most of "donors" were dead Israeli soldiers. It was still an embarrassing revelation for Israel.

In Arab countries, the rich marry girls for a few days and divorce them after using them. This is just an alternative to human trafficking. To make matters worst, some of these girls are underage.

temporary marriage is a loophole to make prostitution legal. It's nothing like trafficking (which itself is mostly a hysterical media obsession). And underaged? Different countries have different ages of consent. Maybe you're confusing with Craigslist or Belusconni.
